Obituary of RESHETYLO – Pauline Mary

July 14, 1939 – August 18, 2010 Pauline Mary Reshetylo beloved wife of Joe Reshetylo, passed away on Wednesday August 18, 2010 at the age of 71 years. Pauline was born at the Calgary Holy Cross Hospital; she attended both St. John’s Elementary and St. Mary’s High schools. Pauline always had that special aura, where anyone who first met her would immediately like her. She was never a negative person, nor did she talk or think badly of anyone. Pauline was a beautiful lady who could easily mingle with kings, queens, commoners and be accepted as an equal. Even while raising a large family, she found time to canvas for charities or help wherever she could. She loved cooking big family meals and was always game to do or try anything; Calgary Stampede rides, roller coasters in the U.S., and even rode the Olympic bobsled. She loved to travel and to dance, especially the ‘In the mood’ jives. As the kids grew, she went back to working as a switchboard operator at Shaw and Jack Carter’s Dealerships, where she inherited the title “Manager of First Impressions”. Then for almost 20 years she had the same position at R.L. Brews Industrial Wholesale Electronic Contractors before retiring. At an early age, Pauline met and became Joe’s beloved wife, best friend, confidant, and lover for almost 53 years. Joe considers himself as one of the luckiest men to have shared this short time with her and misses her with all his heart and soul, but for some reason our Lord must have needed her more. Pauline is survived by her loving husband Joe, five children, Paul (Desney), Ann (Ryan) Phillips, Brad (Sue), Debbie (Bruce), Dawn Reshetylo; twelve grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and her sister Dorothy (Arnold) Lawson. She was predeceased by her parents Paul and Helen Pelletier. A private family memorial service will be held. A very grateful thank you from the family for the loving care that the staff at the Foothills Personal Care Unit # 36 provided Pauline.
