Obituary of MASON – Christine

December 27, 1929 – August 16, 2010 Chris Mason of Calgary passed away on Tuesday August17, 2010 at the age of 80 years old. Born in London, England. Chris enjoyed an administrative career in Calgary spanning over forty years. She started with Mannix Corporation working for Peter Lougheed followed by Molson Breweries, and ending with the City of Calgary working for the Deputy Chief of Police. Chris enjoyed travelling and music and would combine the two whenever she could. Chris had a wonderful wit and charm and a never ending quest for knowledge which she pursued during her retirement at the University. After she retired Chris volunteered at the Children’s Hospital and at the University of Calgary. Sincere thanks to the staff at Southwood Hospice who took such good care of Chris. At her request there will be no service. A life well lived leaves its gentle pattern on the hearts of all…and the world is a lovelier place because one person touched it with warmth and goodness and grace.
