Obituary of HAUK – Mora Louise

September 14, 1945 – August 15, 2010 Mora Louise Hauk passed away at the Foothills Medical Centre from complication after a long illness on Sunday, August 15, 2010. Mora was born in Prelate, SK. and her love of singing manifested itself early. She pursued an education at the University of Saskatchewan and the University of Calgary with the hope of becoming an opera singer. Multiple Sclerosis ended her performing career early in her married life but she continued as a voice teacher… without missing a beat! Mora leaves to mourn her loving husband Jamie Beckstead, whose love showed true during their years together. The love and care provided by Jamie to Mora through the years is surpassed by none and words fail the rest of the family as to his devotion. Mora is also survived by her daughter Kathleen (Stephanie) Thain of Langley, BC; parents, Phil and Helen Hauk of Calgary; aunt Terry Engel of Victoria, BC; uncle Tony Hauk of Sceptre, SK; brother Jerome of St. Albert, AB; sisters, Marguerite Denis, Marilyn McCulloch, and Michaelle Fikowski all of Calgary; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
