Obituary of LOPO – Gilda Candelora

February 2, 1926 – August 15, 2010 Gilda Candelora Lopo was born on February 2, 1926 in Ortona, P. Chieti, Italy and passed on Sunday, August 15, 2010 in the presence of her loved ones, husband Oreste; daughters, Mary (Peter) Ferraro and Linda (Harry) Klapper; grandchildren, Cory and Lucas (Melissa) Klapper, Katia and Peter Ferraro; and great granddaughter Harlow Klapper. Gilda is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law Emilio and Dora Bernardi of Australia; sister Adelaide D’Alessandro of Ortona, Italy; special nephew Vince Bernardi of Windsor, ON; and numerous relatives and friends in Italy. Gilda’s family would like to honour and thank her numerous friends and relatives for being a part of her life’s journey. Without all of you, her life would have been meaningless, she treasured every memory. We are all a part of each other and forever connected. And so it is. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Canadian Martyrs Catholic Church (835 Northmount Drive N.W.) on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
