To the cousins that I never really met, I’m sorry for your loss. I only met him a couple of times, but he seemed like a great man, even though I was very young.
We received the news of Grandpa’s passing on Sunday morning with great sadness.
We both regret being unable to attend the service, as the birth of Grandpa’s seventh great-grandchild is imminent. We will have him and our family in our thoughts this Saturday afternoon when we honour his memory over a quiet supper of some of his favourite dishes.
My deepest condolences to all who were blessed enough to have had my Uncle Louie in their lives. I will always remember his kindness and generosity of spirit. Uncle Louie and Aunt Marie were so helpful to my husband and me after my husband was diagnosed with cancer 9 years ago. They drove to New Jersey and gave us hope and guidance in our time of need. I will never forget that kindness and can only hope to be as generous and kind in turn.
