Condolences
I knew Paul well when I moved to Calgary in the spring of 1975 and we lived together for almost a year. We kept in touch for awhile and it wasn’t till I was ready to move back to Calgary fr. Vancouver, BC in Aug. 2009 that I paid him a visit in his Hazebro house in the SW. of Calgary. He taught me alot in the short time we spent together and though we grew apart I am very sorry to come upon this today, he was a man of great laughter, sense of rightfulness and also a great barbeque master in his day. He loved animals and his Cadillac. We spent many happy dinners at the Owls Nest and Hys in Calgary way back when, and worked together with Vladmir at Paul’s photo studio, International Portrait Studios, here in Calgary. I hope you have found much peace in heaven Paul. Blessings, Johanna aka Jewal Kylo now
Our deepest sympathy on Paul’s passing away. We were shocked to hear the sad news as Jim spoke with him only about a couple of weeks ago trying to convince Paul to come to the office for a visit and that Jim would pick him up and drop him off after lunch. Paul and I would always call each other on our birthdays (and a few other days in the year). Somehow, this last birthday, I called him a couple of days late and left him a belated birthday message on his answering machine. He never returned my call. Now I know he probably was not well. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
