Condolences
To the family of my dear friend Ron.
I counted Ron among my closest friends in Calgary. In all of my activities with him, be it business, golf, fishing or family, his enthusiasm was infectious.
He will be missed.
Graeme

Sorry for your loss. Remembering you and the family in our thoughts and prayers. June
Lindsay, Laurie and Family,
I was deeply saddened to hear of your loss. Ron will always be in my memory and I will think of him often, as he was truly a great, great guy. My fondest memories will be of him cheering on Lindsay in goal as he was such a huge fan of hockey, but more importantly he was a great, great fan of watching Lindsay play, not just because he was her father, but he was truly a fan of her play, and that is so rare. I feel truly blessed to have known him and for the time we had together. I have run into him several times over the years since I coached Lindsay, and he was as always, upbeat, more interested in finding out what you were up to than talking about himself and genuinely engaged in the friendship of the moment. He lived life with a smile and always brightened my day when we did meet. He will be missed, by all who knew him, but I can only imagine the deep loss you feel.
Kevin
Hi Lindsay I just want to let you and your family know you will be in my thoughts for a long time. I can’t believe something so sad can happen so fast. Looking over the ocean has a whole new meaning. Take care and maybe we will see you again sometime under better circumstances. Jack
I was so shocked and saddened by the news of Ron’s death. I used to go to the hockey games and tournaments with my husband Paul and my two children, Holly & Kyle. Ron was always such a happy man, full of life and very kind. The world is missing one great soul. We all send our heartfelt sympathies to you and your entire family for your devastating loss.
Much love to you all
Brenda McCready, & Holly & Kyle Stewart
Laurie and Family,
A very tragic end for one who offered so much to others and was easily called a good friend. Our travel through life does an inadequate job of preparing us to handle these tragedies which befall us. We will unable to attend on Friday as we are abroad, but our thoughts and prayers will be with you and your family.
To Ron’s family,
My sincere condolences in your tragic loss of a great man. My involvement with Ron was through business, we had a great relationship through the years.
Also, always had time to talk hockey and the plight of the Flames. I sat beside Ron at Flames games for a number of years.
Ron will be missed by by all of us.
Sincerely,
Tilden White
Dear Laurie and family
I will always have fond memories of Ron. We had many great days playing golf and discussing the swing. The only consolation is knowing he was doing something he loved when he passed. Thoughts and prayers go to your family.

Laurie,
Cathy and I are so sorry for your loss. Ron was a good friend and will always be remembered for his kindness and hearty laugh. Many memories of us as kids, really, in Calgary have been occupying my mind these past weeks. We had some fun all together on 14th St.
Our condolences also go out to Ron’s siblings and your children, Laurie.
All of Ron’s Family
I am very sorry for your loss. Our world has lost a fine man. I first met Ron thru the North/South (Ryder Cup Style)Golf tournament held annually in Radium/Inveremere area. Ron representing the South and myself the North. Over the years we had many matches,(similar handicaps) we always seemed to be up against each other on the final days singles matches. We truly enjoyed playing each other, and ultimately probably split the outcome of at least ten matches. I know I looked forward to seeing him each year and catching up on what was new in his life, as well as sharing some of my latest exploits.
Things won’t be the same without you old friend,
Hope you are hitting it “Long and Straight” up there.
Lorne Smeland, Camrose Ab.

I am very very sorry to hear the loss of your beloved Ron. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Luma.
We were very saddened by your sudden loss in that very tragic airplane accident in Nova Scotia. We had been eagerly looking forward to seeing Ron again just several days later in Vancouver after so many years, when we heard about the missing plane.
Please accept our heartfelt condolences for you and your family, Laurie. Ron was a great guy and we will always remember him with great affection.
I am so very sorry, Laurie, to hear of your loss. I was out of Canada and had not heard of the crash. My thoughts are with all of you as I know how important Ron was in all your lives. I think back to his kindesses and generosity so many years ago when I and Joel lived in Calgary, and to the “male time” he provided to Joel especially. My hugs to you, Laurie, and pass them on to Ryan, Lyndsie (sp) and Paige!! My thoughts are with you all!
Dear Laurie
I am so saddened to hear of your great loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Hi Lindsay, we are so very sorry for your families loss. There is one thing we picked up on – your Dad sure left his mark on this world. Even though he is gone you can all be so proud. Our prayers are with you all. We’ll contact you again when things settle down. Take care Marie and Neil
