Obituary of PIMENTEL – Jose Furtado

July 30, 1927 – August 2, 2010 Jose Pimentel beloved husband of Maria Pimentel of Calgary, passed away on Monday, August 2, 2010 at the age of 83 years. Jose was born July, 30, 1927 in the village of S. Mateus, island of Terceira, Azores, Portugal. Jose immigrated to Canada in the mid 1960’s, where he worked for ATCO and retired from the City of Calgary, where he worked for over sixteen years. Jose is survived by his wife Maria, a sister Elvira Medeiros of Toronto, and a sister-in-law Helena Pimentel of Toronto. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Antonio and Elvira Pimentel, his brothers Alvarino Pimentel, Antonio Pimentel and Paulo H. Pimentel, sisters Maria Pimentel and Teresinha Pimentel Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at OUR LADY OF FATIMA CATHOLIC CHURCH, (4747 – 30th Street S.E.) on Friday, August 6, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at OUR LADY OF FATIMA CATHOLIC CHURCH (4747 – 30th Street S.E.) on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Queen’s Park Mausoleum.
