I recently found myself daydreaming about the pranks Dave used to pull on my sisters and me whenever we visited. He was so stealthy that despite my best attempts to anticipate them, he got me every time! He was an awesome uncle and I miss him. Sending my hugs to you and the woofies Nina.

I just heard of Dave’s passing yesterday and I was shocked and saddened by his departure. Dave helped me get my first production accounting job 20 years ago and I was fortunate enough to work with him again 12 years later. What a wonderful, kind, gentle person you were Dave. You will be very much missed by all those who were blessed to have met you.

May you be at peace now.

We have very fond memories of Davie from North Saanich Jr Secondary School in Sidney BC. Although he was quiet in classes, he was a very good friend outside – a true testament to the notion that still waters run deep.

On behalf of myself and my family, I’d like to express our condolences to all of Dave’s family at this very sad time. Our thoughts are with you as you try to manage without him by your side, but his gentle spirit will be there for all that were fortunate enough to have known him.

I will forever be grateful for knowing and working with Dave. It was his kindness and patience, but most of all, his unique sense of humour and never-ending pranks that I will never forget.

All my memories of him will forever be cherished and remembered.

Cherish your memories of him – they will keep him close to you. Working in years past with Dave was such a pleasure – he had a ton of knowledge that he shared willingly and kindly with whoever asked, and his sense of humor took people by surprise, until they got to know him.
