Obituary of CURRIE – Mary Maureen

June 20, 1921 – July 20, 2010 Maureen Currie of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at the age of 89 years after a full and happy life. Maureen was born in Belfast, Ireland and immigrated to Canada with her parents when she was eighteen months old. She grew up in Calgary where she met her husband Frank. They were married in 1943 and raised their family. Maureen is survived by five daughters and one son; Maureen (Jim) Huck, Sheila Rivers, Irene (Robert) Park, Ron Currie (Michael Burton), Anne Burgess and Joan (Joe) Rainey, ten Grandchildren and five Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by four sisters and one brother as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In 2009, Maureen was predeceased by Frank, her husband of sixty-five years. After a brief separation, Mom and Dad are together once again. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at St. James’ Catholic Church (5504 – 20th Street S.W.)
