Obituary of KISNER – Oda Sorine

September 20, 1919 – July 19, 2010 Oda Kisner of Calgary passed away peacefully in her home with her children by her side on Monday, July 19, 2010 at the age of 90 years. Oda was born in Stenlille, Denmark where she grew up on the family farm. She trained as a nurse and moved to Copenhagen where she met and married Aage. They had two children. In 1957, they immigrated to Calgary. In 1960, they built and ran Bowness Nursing Home. Oda enjoyed life and was always active, whether it be cross country skiing, hiking, trips to the mountains, and she loved to dance. Oda’s positive attitude and willingness to lend a hand were her greatest attributes. Oda is survived by her son Peter (Laurie); daughter Marianne (George); four grandchildren, Michael, Brian, Erik, and Joel; and two great-grandchildren, Gabriel and Jaedon. Oda was predeceased by Aage, her husband of forty-nine years. A Celebration of her Life will be held at a later date. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
