Condolences
I encouraged Ed to join the Rotary Club of Kentville in Nova Scotia in 2007 and enjoyed a few short years of his enthusiasm. Ed moved to Round Hill and found it difficult to maintain his Rotary membership due to distance. Our friendship survived for the next few years and on occasions I visited his Round Hill home that he eagerly puttered away at. It came as a shock and disbelief to me when I recently discovered he had passed away. I offer the condolences of the Rotary Club of Kentville that embraced his enthusiasm for the short period he was with us. Though our visits were infrequent I will miss him and regret I didn’t see him more often.
Dear Cooke Families:
We enjoyed many years in the same office as Ed. He was always very pleasant and we were so sad to read he had passed away.
We send you all our deepest sympathy and prayers at this very sad time. God Rest His Soul.
On behalf of all the members of the Canadian Progress Club – Calgary Bow River, we offer our consolences to the family of Ed Cooke. Ed was a fine member of Progress, a respected role model for the club and a good friend. Ed was recognized and admired for his leadership in our Community Service efforts and his dedication and commitment to helping others in need. We have fond memories of Ed leading our annual Christmas Caroling at seniors homes, his Santa costume and the joy he brought to others.
