Obituary of REID – Alice Flore

February 19, 1926 – July 16, 2010 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alice Flore Reid at the age of 84. Alice was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and passed away in Calgary, Alberta. Alice is survived by her loving and devoted daughter and son-in-law, Susan & Tim Creelman; and her grandchildren, Matthew and Elizabeth of Calgary. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph & Angelique Olivier; infant daughter Yvette; her sister Denise Olivier; and her husband Harold. Alice was raised in St. Agathe, Manitoba and had many fond memories of her childhood. She attended Normal School in Winnipeg and taught for several years. Alice and Harold were married on July 3, 1950. They were very devoted to each other for forty-nine years. Alice was lost without Harold after his passing in 1999. Alice loved animals, children and music. She played violin, piano and the organ. Alice was very proud of her grandchildren and enjoyed being involved in their lives. Alice had a special fondness for her son-in-law Tim. Alice also had many life-long friends in Regina whom she cherished. Anyone who met her instantly liked her. We will miss her and her stubbornness. Funeral Service will be held at Regina Funeral Home, Hwy. #1 East, Regina, SK (access off Prince of Wales Dr.) on Friday, July 23, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. A special thank you to the staff at Eau Claire Retirement Residence, Dr. Young and the staff at Unit 46 at the Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary, and to the staff at Southwood Hospice.
