Obituary of Cuthbert – Launie Robert

January 10, 1958– July 14, 2010 Launie Robert Cuthbert of Calgary passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at the age of 52 years. Launie was born in Edmonton on January 10, 1958 but early on moved to Calgary where he lived for the majority of his life. He went to Henry Wise Wood High school. He had a long career working in the oilfield including positions with Nabors Drilling and other companies. His expertise allowed him to travel the world including overseas and in the Beaufort Sea. He is survived by his sister Debbie Leppky, niece Lisa Cuthbert, and numerous cousins, extended family, and close friends from all parts of the world. Launie was predeceased by his parents Robert and Rose Cuthbert and some very dear friends. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Friday, July 23, 2010 at 2:00p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
