Obituary of MAH – Lai Goon

November 6, 1906 – July 9, 2010 Lai Goon Chin passed away peacefully at the Foothills Hospital on Friday, July 9, 2010 at the age of 103 years. She is lovingly remembered by her three children, Lan Fong Fung, Lina (Bob) Eng, and Joe (Jenny) Mah; her seven grandchildren, Danny (Jennifer), Michelle (Al), Mabel (Jim), John (Evelyn), Jennifer (Bing), Joanne (Brian), Kevin (Patricia); her thirteen great grandchildren, Kenneth (Kristina), Paul (Gina), Jaclyn (Danny), Jessica (Nicky), Douglas, Mikayla, Mercedes, Braxton, Melissa, Mataia, Quintus, Jennah, and Talysa; her nine great-great grandchildren, “little” Joe, Paulie, Gianna, Gabriella, Nicholas, Christopher, Peter, Kenny, and Kaitlyn. She is predeceased by her husband, Mah Yook Lim; her two brothers; her grandsons, Ken Fung and Jerry Eng; and her great grandson, Joey Fung. Lai Goon Chin will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew her. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Friday July 16, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Saturday July 17, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. A Graveside Service will follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery (3219 – 4th Street NW).
