Obituary of KOBRZYNSKI – Boleslaw Bill

December 17, 1924 – July 8, 2010 Surrounded by his family, Boleslaw (Bill) gave up his spirit to the Lord on July 8, 2010. Dad was born in Poland and immigrated to Canada in 1946. He was a man with a tremendous capacity for love. He considered the life and values he carved out for his family to be his greatest accomplishment. Dad was well known for his quick wit, sense of humour, hugs and cuddles, brisk walks, and conversations with any and all, about everything and anything. He was a hero in so many ways, a veteran of World War II, who survived a labour camp as a Prisoner of War. Dad spent many rewarding years tending to his vegetable and flower gardens, and loved to have family, friends, and neighbours stop by for a tour. “Look closely and you will find me in your garden.” He will be forever lovingly remembered by his wife of sixty years, Maryanna; his children, Sophia (Perry) Schmaltz, Stanislaw, Theresa Zygadlo, Peter (Pamela), Christina, Barbara (Robert) Fouillard, Edward, Jeremy (Cindy); his grandchildren, Paul (Jlene) Schmaltz, Deana (Chris) Williams, Devon, Tina and Chad Zygadlo, Sabrina, Cody, Jayme and Joshua Fouillard, Tristin and Nathaniel; his great-grandchildren, Chloe and Renee Schmaltz, Tyra and Colby Williams, and Dominic Bruce. Our thanks to the nurses, doctors, and staff of Emergency Services and Unit 44 of the Peter Lougheed Centre, and Unit 47, Intensive Palliative Care, Tom Baker Centre. A special thanks to Dr. Jesse Gabel, Dr. Laurie Lemieux, and his angel nurses, especially Anna and Dawn.
