Obituary of MacIndoe – Ruby Marguerite
July 16, 1916 – July 8, 2010
Sadly, on July 8, 2010, Ruby MacIndoe passed away. Born in Yorkton, SK and the second of five girls she trained as a nurse at Saskatoon City Hospital. Near the end of the war she married George MacIndoe, and after the birth of their daughter they moved to Alberta. After the birth of two sons, she returned to nursing and was in the Willow Creek Hospital in Claresholm on opening day. Her career continued in the Gault Hospital in Lethbridge, Cross Bow Auxiliary, and Glenmore Auxiliary in Calgary where she retired. She spent most of her adult life caring for geriatrics and the severely handicapped.
Her memory will be cherished by her children; Richard (Kathie) of Seattle, David (Donna) of Calgary and William (Bill) Glover of Lethbridge. Grandchildren Betty Jo Judd and Wendy (Randy) Martinuk, Karine (Jim) Sikora, Scott (Christina), Erin and John. Also by great- grandchildren; Justin and Nicolas Martinuk, Sean and Tyler MacIndoe, Vanessa and Tenisha MacIndoe and Taylor Brooke Sikora. She will be missed by her many friends at the Wentworth Manor. Ruby was predeceased by her husband George, daughter Marilyn Glover and Grandson Billy Glover.
