Condolences
I used to meet Vern for the odd cold one, and he was fascinated with my bike, and motorcycles in general….
He wanted to know all I could tell him, and I thought, at the time, it was idle curiosity, and just making conversation, but I was surprised when Vern asked me over to se his new “ride”, and I am proud to say that it was me who took him on his first highway ride..and yes, it was to Turner Valley.
We had breakfast there, and I remember we both had eggs benedict..
Vern insisted on paying, and when I protested, he said, ” No, the student should pay for the teacher’s breakfast”…..
As if I had much to teach him?
Godspeed Vern, the chrome is always shiny in heaven, and the bugs are soft.

Uncle Vern …. I will never forget your boyish grin, your ability to be yourself despite all judgements, your dedication to life, your commitment to your partner & your survival & sharing when you both lost your child. You gave me a special perspective & ability to be myself. Thank you for all that you shared & showed me over the years. I wish that you could be here forever but I know that you are off to be with Mildred, your one & only. I love you.
Randy
OUR FRIEND VERN was an outstanding man with a mischievous smile, blue eyes through which you could see his adventurous nature.
At age 65, Vern bought a yellow motorcycle, which he kept sparkling. The sidesaddles were black with silver studs matching his silver hair. He zoomed around for several years like a bumblebee. His favorite rides were to Turner Valley. He liked to hear all the biker’s stories. The characters from different lifestyles and ages, made him young.
Every time, we visited Vern there was lots of laughter and new ventures to talk about. This year in August, he was coming to scout Babine Lake to check the fish he planned on hooking.
Vern, Jan & Diane will miss you. On July 17, we will fish on the Babine Lake at 2:00 p.m. we will have fish for lunch and reminisce all the stories and travels Vern shared with us.
Vern, heaven will be a new adventure for you. God be with you.
Friends Always,
Love Diane & Jan Sr. & Jan Jr. Pozsgay
