Obituary of WILSON – Edith Braden

June 24, 1912 – July 5, 2010 Edith Wilson of Calgary, passed away on Monday, July 5, 2010 at the age of 98 years. Edith was born on June 24, 1912 at Swalwell, AB. Following the death of her husband, Edith moved from Langdon, AB to Calgary. She raised her two sons while maintaining full time employment as a bookkeeper, stenographer and rising to office manager at Primco Western Ltd. Since retirement, she maintained her garden, socialized with the Happy Sewers, hiked in the mountains and traveled world wide. She is survived by her son, Samuel William (Bill) Wilson; three grandchildren, Judith Lynn Wilson, Wayne Stewart Wilson, and Anita Rose Comba; and five great-grandchildren, Alexander Rowat, Christopher Rowat, Stephanie Rowat, Tyler Wilson, and Evan Comba; and a great-great-grandchild, Paige Rowat. She was predeceased by her husband, John Stanley Wilson; a son, Marvin Dale Wilson; her parents, William Dale and Florence Eliza Braden; her sisters, Nettie Buehler, Emma Louise Freeman, Hazel Heckle, and Wilma Braden; and an infant brother, John Braden. A Memorial Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Monday, July 12, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through .
