Dear Bonnie,
Noreen and I just returned from vacation to find Brian’s obituary in the paper. We are very sorry to hear of your loss. We will miss him very much. He was the first manager at the firm to buy me a drink when I passed some of my qualifying exams and he took several of us (Rick Roberge, Mark Hopkins etc) under his wing countless numbers of times.
Brian will always be remembered by us as someone who took time on late Friday afternoons to share a drink and discuss anything under the sun with much wit and humour. We used to swap stories about the war experiences our fathers had. He was a wonderful mentor who gave me a great deal of advice about my career and I will always remember him as a warm and funny guy with a great deal of “street smarts.”
It was apparent in many conversations with Brian that you were the center of his life.
Please let us know if you need anything at all. Noreen would love to meet you anytime for coffee if you like. Our number is 403-547-2054. Our thoughts are with you.
Yours truly,
Noreen and Wayne Irvine
Dear Bonnie,
It has been such a long time, I am sorry that we never had much opportunity to know each other better. My sons and I remember well the great time we spent together one afternoon at Jackfish Lake. I was so saddened to hear of your loss and my thoughts are with you and Nikki.
Dear Bonnie,
I first met Brian when we were at Carleton University in the 1960’s and as you know we have stayed connected for these last 40+ years. Our monthly lunches and the great discussions we had about everything under the sun are something I will remember forever. I dearly remember a man who enjoyed a good laugh, a fun time, and a spirited discussion. A true gentleman to his very core he is one of those few who provide an example of the traits we all aspire to.
My sincerest thoughts are with you in your loss.
Bonnie:
Barb and I were so very sorry to hear that Brian had passed away.
My brother Stuart, myself and Brian spent many happy days together as children and cousins in North Battleford Saskatchewan and I will always remember those times.
Our prayers are with you and Nikki and we trust the comfort of family will ease the sorrow.
Bonnie,
We were so very saddened to hear of Brian’s passing. Please know that you are in our thoughts & prayers at this very difficult time.
Love from your old neighbours, Dave & Stephanie
Dear Bonnie,
Not sure if you will remember me, I worked with you at Fisons Pharmaceutical many years ago.
I am sad for your loss when I read about Brian’s death and my sincere condolences are with you at this very sad time in your life.
Bonnie, I was shocked and saddened to read of Brian’s death, especially at such an early age. I remember when Brian first joined PW – he had the poise of a partner even at that early stage and I knew he would eventually become a partner. I enjoyed working with him on a number of assignments as he progressed through the ranks. Unfortunately, our contacts lessened after your move to Calgary and were generally limited to Partners’ Meetings. He was a credit to PW, PwC and the profession.
My sincere condolences go to you at this most difficult time.
Dear Bonnie
Oh my, this is very sad news. I hadn’t seen you guys in a long time, you moved west and I moved to UK. But Brian was one of my closest Price Waterhouse pals and I am really really saddened. I hope Brian didn’t suffer too much and I hope that you can find comfort somewhere, somehow to help you through this.
I am at best a bad Christian, but I will say a prayer today for Brian and for you.
Chuck Forrest
Dear Bonnie,
It was with great sadness that I just learned of Brian’s passing. He was wonderful man and touched so many people.
I remember meeting Brian for the first time at a house party while at Carleton University in 1969. You were there as well. Even back then, Brian was mature well beyond his age and carried an air of pleasant sophistication. Brian was a year ahead of me and I had the opportunity in many ways to follow in his footsteps. After Brian graduated in 1971, he joined Price Waterhouse and the following year returned to Carleton to recruit for the firm. I remember like it was yesterday being interviewed by Brian. His quiet, confident manner was evident. The fact that Brian had joined Price Waterhouse had a huge bearing on my choosing to work for the firm. I followed his long career at the firm with interest and continuing admiration. He was liked and admired by all his colleagues and friends
Bonnie, Brian will be missed by all but never forgotten. You have my deepest sympathies. Our hearts are with you.

Bonnie sorry just doesn’t seem a big enough word. Brian and I worked together in Toronto and then again in Calgary. We had some really good times. He was truly a good and respected person by his colleaugues clients and friends. Our thoughts are with you.
Bonnie, I am extremely saddened to hear of Brian’s passing.
For me, Brian was a great mentor and someone that I looked up to – and always will. I truly admired his integrity, honesty, frankness and sharp intellect. A true gentleman!
My thoughts are with you at this time.
Hi Bonnie,
I just wanted to pass on my condolences.
Brian was a great man; whenever he was in our office he was always happy and smiling and living large. You could never miss him when he was in.
He packed a lot of living into far too short a life.
I know you miss him. We all will.
Be strong.
Dave

Bonnie
I was saddened to hear of Brian’s passing and your loss. I have thought over the last couple of days of the projects and conversations Brian and I had over the years. These were very pleasant memories of a kind hearted and intelligent man. I will miss him and express to you my condolences at your loss.
Warm Regards
Bonnie, I was just frozen when I heard through PwC of Brian’s passing.
While it was a long time ago that we were together as “grunts in the bullpen” in the PW Toronto office, those years formed lasting friendships for us all. His boisterous laugh was a hallmark of our “diligent work (?)” in those days.
I am very, very sad for you on your loss of such a great husband and friend.
Bonnie, I am so sorry to hear of Brian’s passing. Brian was an important part of my early career and I really appreciated his frank and fun personality. My prayers are with you as you grieve your loss.
Bonnie
I am very sorry to hear of Brian’s death – he was such a wonderful and gentle person. I got to know Brian when we worked together on the Bad Boy bankruptcy in Toronto in 1976 and stayed in touch at partners meetings over the next 25 years.
I was very sad to hear this news today. I would like to offer my condolences to all his friends and loved ones. Brian and I played a lot of golf together and I always enjoyed his company and wit immensely.
Dear Bonnie – I wanted to let you know I am thinking of you during this difficult time. My heart goes out to you and I trust you have many great memories of Brian including your travels to San Diego that he loved to chat about and plan the next adventure!
I would love to catch up when you’re able. If you need anything, please let me know. Take care
Love and hugs
Brenda
Bonnie
We are so sorry to hear of Brian’s passing. I worked with Brian a lot in my early career and he was always fair and supportive. Later I found Brian to be an excellent judge of people with a keen sense of humour. I also shared an interest in history with Brian particularly with D-Day and Normandy.I know how much he enjoyed your holidays in San Diego.

Judy and I are stunned over the news of Brian’s passing. Although we have lost touch over the past few years, we still think of you both fondly.
This is not the place for old stories, but just believe that you, Bonnie, will have the strength to get through this. You will never forget, but the pain will abate.
Take care and be strong.
Tom and I express our deepest sympathy. I will always remember Brian as the true gentleman at the office. His animal related emails were a constant source of entertainment. I pray that your heart will be healed as time passes
