Obituary of PARKER –Reg

July 9, 1954 – June 29, 2010 Reg Parker, beloved husband of Elizabeth (Liz), passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at the age of 55 years. Reg was born to Suzette and Preston Parker in Lac La Biche, AB and was raised in the community of Rich Lake. He moved to Edmonton and then on to Sherwood Park where he began a long career in Real Estate. In 1996 Reg and his family relocated to Cochrane where he continued as a Real Estate Broker and opened his own Real Estate Company. Reg was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed spending time with friends and family camping, fishing, hunting, hiking, boating, skiing and snowmobiling or just sitting by the fire. Reg will be remembered for his sense of humour, commitment to community organizations, straightforward guileless attitude, and devotion to his family. Besides his loving wife Liz, Reg is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Michelle and her husband Gregg Wright of Kamloops and Ashley Parker of Cochrane, AB; granddaughter Alexis; his mom Suzette Parker; brother and sister-in-law Lloyd and Deana of Rochester, AB; and sister and brother-in-law Sheila and Jordan Johnston of Fort McMurray, AB. He was predeceased by his father Preston and son Leigh in 1983. He will also be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews, friends and extended family. Funeral Services will be held at Cochrane RancheHouse (101 RancheHouse Road, Cochrane, AB) on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Cochrane Cemetery.
