Obituary of AUSTIN – Lee

August 21, 1919 – June 23, 2010 Lee Austin of Calgary passed away on June 23, 2010 at the age of 90 years. Lee was born in Scott, SK, to Stephanie and John Pschenitschnig, the third of eight children. She married Neville Austin in 1940 and raised three children. They retired to Calgary in 1971. In their retirement they enjoyed camping, golfing, and spending time with family. Lee also enjoyed gardening and painting. She moved to the Edgemont Retirement Residence in 2003 where she enjoyed the company of many friends. Lee is survived by her son Douglas (Jean); two daughters, Patricia McIntosh (John) and Brenda Austin (Ken Hugo); and four grandchildren, Wayne, Leigh, Kyle, and Reid; and a great-granddaughter Elie. She is also survived by her sister Margaret; brothers, George and John; and numerous other relatives. Lee was predeceased by her husband Neville in 1996; and four siblings, Joe, Carl, Mary and Beth. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers at St. Luke’s Catholic Church (Corner of Northmount Drive & Northland Drive N.W.) on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Luke’s Catholic Church on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens.
