Obituary of FERNANDES – Serafino Pascoal Sandy

September 3, 1929 – June 16, 2010 Serafino Pascoal “Sandy” Fernandes passed away peacefully at the Foothills Hospital on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at the age of 80 years. Serafino (Sandy) Fernandes was born in Tanga, Tanzania on September 3, 1929. He was married in 1969 and immigrated to Calgary, Canada in 1974. Sandy was predeceased by his loving wife Genevieve and daughter Luisa in 1994 and siblings, Andy, Dommie and Antoinette. Sandy is survived by his sons, Greg (Martina) of Grande Prairie and Gerard (Dayami) of Calgary; grandchildren, Portia, Antonio, Ethan and Samara; and siblings, Justine (the late Hypolito), Januar (Roquella), Alcoque, Bessie, Florrie (Jai), Roque, Nery, Eugene (Patsy), Rose (Roldao), Delphin (John), Victor (Astrid). He will be greatly missed by all his nieces and nephews around the world.
