Obituary of DENNIS – Richard William Rick

December 29, 1955 – June 15, 2010 Richard William “Rick” Dennis beloved husband of Catherine of Calgary, passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at the age of 54 years. Rick was born in Calgary and attended Bowness High School and later SAIT. Rick was a service manager for Telus, with thirty-two years of service. He was a member of the Fish Creek Sports Club and enjoyed playing racquetball. He had a second degree black belt in karate, and also enjoyed scuba-diving and downhill skiing in his spare time. Rick’s other passions included music, aquarium fish, photography and winemaking. In April, he took a vacation to Cuba which he greatly enjoyed. Besides his loving wife Catherine, Rick is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Everett and Donna Dennis; daughter and son-in-law, Leah and Sean Deegan; brother Murray Dennis (Karen Hamilton); sister Sheila Hanninen; as well as numerous extended family. Rick was predeceased by his parents. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Saturday, June 19, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside service to follow at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens.
