Obituary of JENSEN – Jim J.

April 20, 1924 – June 8, 2010 James (Jethro) Jensen beloved husband of Shirley of Calgary, passed away on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at the age of 86 years. James was born to Martin and Johanna Jensen in Lethbridge, AB, on April 20, 1924 and was the youngest of six children. He served in the armed forces from 1942-1946. On June 19, 1948 he married, Shirley Young, and together they started their 63 year love affair. Along with his beloved wife, Jim is survived by his cherished daughter Lynn, six grandchildren Tammy, Ross, Patti-Ann, Jackie-Sue, Cathy, Remmington, numerous great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. His illustrious career lasted three decades in the oil patch and he was an active member of the Masonic Lodge Prefection No. 9 and The Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 285 for many years. His retirement years were spent in his flourishing garden, puttering in his workshop and spending time with his family.
