Obituary of WALLER – Charles

January 20, 1923 – June 7, 2010 Charles Waller beloved husband Katharine Waller of Airdrie passed away on Monday, June 7, 2010 2010 at the age of 87 years. Charles Waller, son of Jacob and Bertha Waller was born on January 20, 1923 in London, England. Charles graduated from the University of Edinburgh Medical College in 1948, practiced medicine in Trinidad and Chicago before immigrating to Canada in 1959. Charles continued his practice in Hamilton, Ontario until 1976, then in Calgary until he retired in 1990. Charles and Kay retired in Canmore where he enjoyed seasonal hiking and skiing. Charles is survived by his wife Kay of 48 years; children Stephanie (Frank Dukarich) and David (Barb Burfoot); grandchildren Eric, Jessica, Ethan, Krissy, Tuomas, and Aleksi; and his friends and relatives in Calgary, Hamilton, Truro, and London, United Kingdom. Celebration of life will be held for Charles Waller at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Airdrie Funeral Home (300 Towerlane Drive, Airdrie, Alberta) on Friday, June 11, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
