Obituary of MARUS – Margaret Elizabeth

February 14, 1924 – June 7, 2010 Margaret Marus passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Foothills Hospital in Calgary on Monday, June 7, 2010. Margaret was born and raised in Prud’homme, SK., and at an early age moved to Lethbridge with her family, where she met and married Frank Marus in 1945. After a brief time in Drumheller, Margaret and Frank returned to settle and raise their family. Margaret was predeceased by her husband Frank who passed away in 1985. She took great pride in her garden and in her ability in growing beautiful flowers. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and baking, crewel work, knitting and crocheting especially for her family. She also remained an active member of The Hungarian Community in Lethbridge. Margaret will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Liz Bennett (Calgary), Barbara Berry (Calgary) and Margaret Chilibeck (Victoria); and her grandchildren Eric, Ian, Jessica, Jonathon, Nicholas, Megan, Colin, Corina and Bonnie; and her sisters Irene, Velma, Jolane, Emma and her brother Bill.
