Obituary of CHURCHILL – Winnifred May

September 8, 1926 – June 4, 2010 Winnifred May Churchill of Calgary, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 4, 2010 at the age of 83 years. Wynne was born and raised in Saskatoon, SK. After graduating from Normal School, she met and married Kenneth MacMillan Churchill in 1949. Together they taught in rural schools in Alberta before settling in Calgary, where they raised a family and taught with the Calgary Board of Education for many years. Wynne is survived by her daughters, Lynnwyn Heise, Kathryn (Edward) Guinn, and Leslie Churchill (Julie Chapdelaine); and grandchildren, Heather, Keith, Pamela, and Jennifer. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Norine Inkster and Flo Van Essen. She was predeceased by her son Van and husband Ken. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Thursday, June 10, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
