I only met Rhonda a couple of times, but it was clear that she was blessed with a close knit, loving family. I am so sorry for your loss.
I am so sorry to hear Rhonda lost her battle to cancer. We haven’t kept in touch for a few years but being a shirt-tail relation I did hear of her fight against this horrible disease and was hoping that with her determination she would beat it.I have many good memories with all of you girls on the farm. One weekend in particular when your Mom and Dad were away we decided to bake up a storm and boy did the kitchen look like it too. We had some major clean up to do. I remember Rhonda being so kind and so funny.Keep your memories and love of her alive.
My sympathies and prayers to Jesse & family,Maureen, Alayne and June & family. Sincerely Myrna.

My deepest condolences to Jesse, Larrisa and family members; I was saddened to hear that Rhonda lost her courageous battle to cancer. I had the pleasure to work with Rhonda – she strived for excellence and was a pleasure to have on the Team. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
For June and all your family,
I was so sorry to see the news of Rhonda and can only imagine the sadness for all of you. Yours is a very special and loving family and you will take such good care of Jesse and Larissa as you did for Rhonda. Bob and I send you our sympathies and best wishes.
Hi,
I was saddened to hear of the passing of Rhonda. I too was born and raised in Vulcan and went through school with Rhonda. I have fond memories of Rhonda, in school and especially at Sunday School. My parents, Andrew and Elisabeth Sokvitne were friends with Allan and Jeannette as my Dad was a farmer too.
I’m not sure if Rhonda was aware of this, but today, June 5th at the Legion in Vulcan, 67 of Rhonda’s classmates will be gathering for our 40th year CCHS reunion. Rhonda, as well as 11 other classmates who are no longer with us, will be honoured, remembered and missed.
On behalf of myself, and the entire class of 1970 we send our deepest sympathies. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Kind regards,
Eleanor (Sokvitne) Decker
So sorry to hear of Rhonda’s passing. We shared many fun days at the farm while going to school in Milo. I believe it was Rhonda that taught us how to jump off the pig shed roof into the pig pen!
Sympathy from Mabel and Reta as well
Our thoughts are with you during your time of sorrow
Sincerely
Gwen, Mabel and Reta
I was so saddened to hear of Rhonda’s passing. Rhonda was one of the kindest, sweetest people I ever knew. She was such a dear childhood friend. Her parents and sisters always made me feel welcome in their home. I pray that God will guide you gently through this difficult time and that you may find some peace in knowing that Rhonda was such a positive influence in my life and I’m sure to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
I was saddened to hear of Rhonda’s passing. I remember all the fun that we, as farm families shared through the years that we were growing up. She was a kind and gentle person and touched all of those that she met in her life. The times that our families shared together will always be remembered as good times. Find peace in knowing that she was loved
My deepest condolances to Jesse and his brother, and his litle girl.
My hope is that God me comfort them.
Rhonda is in a better place
May your family come together in this time of sorrow and remember the great sister, friend, mother, aunt and lady Rhonda was to all of you.
I never had the chance to meet her, although remember knowing of her from the years, I spent with being Alayne’s little sister from the Society Big Sisters, My Condolennces, prayers and thoughts are with you at this time.
To Jesse, Larissa, June,Rob, Alayne, Maureen, Adam and Sara
I find the words to this Rankin song a bit soothing…that Rhonda “rises again” through Jesse and Larissa and all your shared memories and love.
Love Bev
“When the waves roll on over the waters
And the ocean cries
We look to our sons and daughters
To explain our lives
As if a child could tell us why
That as sure as the sunrise
As sure as the sea
As sure as the wind in the trees
We rise again in the faces
of our children
We rise again in the voices of our song
We rise again in the waves out on the ocean
And then we rise again
When the light goes dark with the forces of creation
Across a stormy sky
We look to reincarnation to explain our lives
As if a child could tell us why
That as sure as the sunrise
As sure as the sea
As sure as the wind in the trees
We rise again in the faces
of our children
We rise again in the voices of our song
We rise again in the waves out on the ocean
And then we rise again
We rise again in the faces
of our children
We rise again in the voices of our song
We rise again in the waves out on the ocean
And then we rise”
We give our deepest sympathy to the family of Rhonda as she truly was a great person. We have come to know Rhonda through the Brain tumour support group and we are sadenned that she has left us. God bless your family and please know that she was a warm and wonderful woman.
