Condolences
In sympathy. We’ll remember Mrs. Fahrner as the very well respected wife of Mr. Fahrner and the mom of Ian and Pamela and the grandma of the grandchildren. We visited the family during June 1988 with Koen and Vera. Thinking of you all…
Willy and Johan Goossen, Tiel, Netherlands
Dear Pam and Ian,
I only knew your mom from the perspective of a child so it was wonderful to read the warm and loving story of her life…. what a delightful read and how proud you must be for her sense of adventure and courage.
I recall a sleepover and how amazed I was that your dad took the time to set the table for breakfast before we went to bed. When I asked why, he said it was to make it easier for your mom in the morning.
Some moments will be tough, but the warm memories are a wonderful gift when those moments come.
With sympathy and fond regards,
Kristine Reid
Dearest friend Pam – Mom & I are so saddened by the prematue loss of Mickie; we had such enthusiasm for another cruise after her pending hip replacement. We treasure attending the great gathering for her 90th B-Day at Fish Creek Park & will always have great memories of the 4 of us cruising together.
Thinking of you & the family & wishing you kinder times. Will see you soon my friend.

Pam and Ian,
So sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. It was very interesting to read her story as presented in the obituary. It’s surprising what you don’t know about someone and what interesting lives they lead. Our condolences to you and your families. Unfortunately we will be unable to attend the funeral but will be thinking of you and your recent loss.

Sorry to read that Mickie had died. She and Cam were of great help to us in the Calgary Canoe Club when we were starting the Banff to Calgary Canoe Races back in the sixties and Calgary Power were in no mood to permit access by the Bow river through ‘their’ land. Cam and Mickie enabled them to see the light and they became our friendly connection for many years. God Bless.
To Pamela and family: It was with sadness that my husband and I read of your mom’s passing. Mrs. Fahrner was a lovely and gracious woman. We always enjoyed our visits together with her and Cam. She was so interested in everybody and was always so thoughtful and appreciative. May you take great comfort in the wonderful memories you must have of both your parents. Lives well lived!! Thinking of you…Mary and Roy
Pam, Ian and families. I don’t know if you remember me but my name was Betty Whitnack and we lived directly across the street from your family on Coleridge Road. My deepest sympathies on your loss. Both your mom and dad were such nice people — always greeted you with a smile and genuinely interested in what was happening in your life. I was just thinking of them in the last week and was wondering how they were doing. Again, my deepest condolences. Betty
