Obituary of VICKERS – Irene

July 11, 1920 – May 29, 2010 Irene Vickers of Calgary passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 29, 2010 at the age of 89 years. Irene’s life-long passion was caring for her family and she excelled at the task. We will all miss her words of encouragement and praise; as well as the goodies she loved making for us, especially her shortbread cookies. Irene fought a long time battle with crippling arthritis. She remained the victor. Irene is survived by her children, Candace and Jack Marshall; Blake Vickers, Shelley Cook and Ed Ross; her grandsons, Murray Marshall, Gregg Marshall and Jeffery Cook and her sister Betty Swanson. She was predeceased by her husband, Herbert Vickers, in 1991.
