Obituary of HERVEY – Patricia

January 21, 1924 – May 29, 2010 Patricia “Patty” Hervey of Calgary, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 29, 2010 at the age of 86 years. Patty was born on January 21, 1924 and was raised on the family farm in the community of Red Deer Lake. She was christened at St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Midnapore on February 17, 1924. Patty moved to Calgary as a young adult, married George Ingram and raised her family. She later married Gerald Doutre and they were together until his passing in 2004. She was a founding member of the Southern Alberta Pioneers and Descendants Association, and active in her church and community throughout her life. Patty’s true passion was her music, and was a music teacher for over thirty years, teaching piano, organ, and violin to her many students. She was the church organist. And played for numerous weddings and other social gatherings. Patty loved to travel and visited many places over the years, which she portrayed in her drawings and paintings. Patty is survived by three children, Bruce Ingram (Pat), Robert Ingram (Sandy), and Debora Waters; four grandchildren, Steven (Shanna), Christina, Scott, and Nicholas; two great-grandchildren, Alisha and Kaitlyn; as well as her brother Jack Hervey of High River. Patty was predeceased by her parents, Harcourt and Hermione Hervey; brother Holly Hervey; and sister Penny Ridge. Patty’s life was a celebration of the good in all of us, and she will be sadly missed by her family and numerous relatives and friends.
