Obituary of McGEE – John Morgan

November 6, 1941 – May 26, 2010 John McGee of Calgary passed away suddenly and peacefully at his home on May 26, 2010 at the age of 68 years. John had a personality that filled any room. He had an incredible sense of humour and made everyone he talked to feel like they were his best friend. He would help a friend or a stranger when they were in need, never asking for anything in return. He had a great number of close friends and his passing will be felt by many. He will be remembered as a father, friend, brother, uncle, and by a lucky few, the best Poppa in the world. John is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Jenn McGee; daughter and son-in-law, Tanya Van Vliet and Heath Cox; and much loved grandchildren, Carson, Cooper, Jessica, Emily, and Justin. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Alice McGee; sister Marion Sage; sister-in-law Lottie McGee; and numerous nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his parents, James and Isobel McGee; sisters, Betty Ann and Margaret Ann; brother-in-law, Don Sage, brother Ken; uncle Robert Senior, step-daughter Adrienne McColl; and many cherished friends.
