Obituary of BECHTHOLD – Gilbert

December 21, 1919 – May 24, 2010 Gilbert Bechthold beloved husband of Mrs. Helen Bechthold of Beiseker, AB, passed away on Monday, May 24, 2010 at the age of 90 years. Gilbert was born on the family farm east of Beiseker where he actively farmed until 1995 and resided there until the time of his passing. Gilbert and Helen celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary November 10th, 2009. Besides his loving wife, Gilbert is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Delilah of Williams Lake, B.C.; two daughters and sons-in-law Gail and Barry Grabo of Beiseker, AB, and Laura and Allen Pauls of Kelowna, B.C.; seven grandchildren Gene Jr., Brent (Shannon Todd) and Marlon Bechthold, Shannon (Scott) McQuaig, and Brad Grabo, Tanya (Jean) Chartrand and Mark Pauls and two great grandchildren Haylee and Kyler McQuaig. He is also survived by his brother Harry Bechthold, of Edmonton, numerous nieces and nephews. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Thursday, May 27, 2010 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Beiseker Level Land Seventh Day Adventist Church, (16 km East, 2 ½ km South of Beiseker on Hwy #9) on Friday, May 28, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Beiseker Level Land Cemetery.
