Obituary of CAMPBELL – Monda Lenore

September 17, 1923 – May 25, 2010 On Tuesday, May 25, 2010, Monda Campbell of Calgary passed away peacefully, at the age of 86 years. Monda is lovingly remembered by her children, Wayne (Wanda) Campbell and Dianne (James) Sardachuk, both of Calgary; and grandchildren, Karina Campbell, Evan (Toni) Campbell, Nadine Campbell, Daniel Sardachuk, and Ryan Sardachuk, all of Calgary. She will be missed by sisters, Lona (Ed) Hamilton of Calgary and Patricia (Jack) Mackenzie of Parksville, BC. Monda was predeceased by her husband Gordon Campbell in 1996; brothers, Gordon, Harold, and Lloyd East; and sister Madeleine Aasen. Monda was born in Edmonton, raised in Wetaskiwin and after her marriage to Gordon Campbell in 1950, she lived in the same NW home until her passing. Monda had a loving and gentle spirit; she was a peacemaker and could always see the good in anyone. Family was most important to her and she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, supporting them in any way she could. She loved to travel, enjoyed the outdoors, read and do craftwork, with quilts and mittens being enjoyed by family and various charities. A Memorial Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. A Private Graveside Service will be held at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
