Obituary of STUART – Anne

September 23, 1925 – May 22, 2010 Anne Stuart left her family on Earth and joined her parents and four brothers in Heaven peacefully and unexpectedly during her sleep in the early hours of Saturday, May 22, 2010. She leaves behind many who love her, most especially her husband of 60 years, Roy; their daughters Patty (James Macadam), Carol (Tony Bowman), Leila (Michael Weiner) and their son David; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Anne spent her growing-up years in Vancouver, where she and Roy met and were married. They moved around a bit during their early years of marriage, and their children were born in Hanover, NH, Vancouver, BC, Princeton, NJ, and Calgary, AB. Calgary has been their home since 1956. Anne’s life was her family, and she raised her children to respect the values of love, kindness, compassion, and personal integrity that were part of her, and which they, in turn, have passed on to their children. She had a love of cooking and good food, which all of her daughters inherited, and was the consummate hostess. She liked nothing better than entertaining friends and family for dinner parties and family occasions. Although she enjoyed the travel that she and Roy had in various parts of the world, she was a homebody at heart, and was never happier than when she was at home with her family and friends, and the family pet. She is happy now with her Heavenly family. A Memorial Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Saturday, May 29, 2010 at 10:00 a.m.
