Obituary of ROACH – Ruth Evelyn

April 4, 1932 – May 16, 2010 It is with great sadness that we announce that Ruth Roach, beloved wife of Matthew Roach Sr. of Calgary, at the age of 78, passed away on Sunday, May 16, 2010, after a courageous battle with cancer. Ruth’s quiet strength, kind soul, ready laugh and unconditional love touched many. Besides her loving husband of fifty-nine years, Ruth is survived by seven children, Mary Desjardins, Linda Thomas, Sharon Page, Sheila Schmidt, Matthew Roach Jr. (Joanne), Debbie Orr (Leslie), John Roach (Suzanne); twenty grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren with one on the way, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Roy Tice, mother Mary Tice, sister Emma Atkinson, brother Robert Tice and grandson Matthew Roach III. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Friday, May 21, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
