Obituary of BAKOS – Susan Lyn

November 18, 1948 – May 15, 2010 Susan was taken suddenly on Saturday, May 15th, 2010 at the age of 61 years. She will be forever missed by; her loving husband Gabe Bakos; Mother-in-Law Mary Bakos; Sister Jennifer Verney; Daughters Laurie Stiles (Mark) and Bryanne Doyle (Kevin); Stepson Jonathon Bakos; and her Grandchildren Matthew, Spencer, Ryan, Isabelle and Adam. Susan’s family was the cornerstone of her life, especially her grandchildren with whom she experienced her greatest happiness and joy. She was an exceptionally outgoing and socially gracious individual who became a successful and highly regarded business woman in her community. She was an intensely compassionate person concerned about and interested in the welfare of others, which manifested itself in genuine accepting warmth for everyone she met. She enjoyed a variety of interests, including a love of literature, music, the arts, and travel. These interests culminated into a later-life wanderlust which kept Susan and Gabe cruising and camping whenever their busy schedule would allow. At this time, Susan was actively supporting her Grandson’s and friend’s efforts to raise funds for Cerebral Palsy. To help Susan continue to support their philanthropic endeavours, her family believes that it would be Susan’s wish that donations be made in her honour to the Calgary Cerebral Palsy Association, 7015 MacLeod Trail S.W., Calgary, AB T2H 2K6 Telephone: (403) 205-4935.
