Condolences
Dear John,
Please accept my sincere condolences on Elsie’s passing. I’m sure she’s with you constantly even if you cannot actually touch her. I bless the time she gave me a bottle of Actifed to help me sleep at night, instead of coughing for hours, and get my energy back. I remember you as an extremely good manager who worked, and walked the fields, and rode, night and day, seven days a week, and completely turned our project around in the short time you were with it. I’d never seen a 65-year-old with so much energy and felt quite privileged to have had a chance to work with you. God bless you! God bless Tanzania and it’s wonderful people!
You and Elsie are both in my prayers,
Anne Marie Skewes
We have all lost a wonderful person and are deeply saddened to not be able to see her again on earth.
We remember her kindness and hospitality to everyone she knew or didn’t know.
The gideons have lost a tremendous prayer warrior!
Those who have the knowledge of Christ can trust in His promise that they will be reunited in heaven through their acceptence of Jesus as their saviour.
John and family are in our prayers.
Love Brian and Laneeh Eves.
Dear John, Paul & Nancy & family, Tom & Carolyn & Family and Marianne & Michael & family,
Thinking of you with sympathy and sadness at this time.
We have such sweet memories of our friendship with you over the years. The children (Teresa, Dave & Phil) now grown, still have fond memories of their “Grandma Wiebe” who was like their grandma when we lived in Edmonton and had no family nearby.
Even though we’re separated by miles, you remain in our hearts.
In Christ’s love,
Joanne Janzen, Teresa, Dave & Phil
Dear John, I just read of Elsie’s passing in today’s paper. She was a tornado, a servant, a wisdom warrior, a faithful friend, a devoted wife, mother and grandma, and ALWAYS a sparkling light when she walked in the door at Ten Thousand Villages. She had spunk, wit, wisdom, humour and a ready twinkle in her eye. How lucky I am that Elsie (and you!) were faithful friends to Ten Thousand Villages during my time there. Sending a special hello to Marianne, and sincere sympathy to you and your family.
Dearest Tom, Carolyn and family… We are sorry to hear of your mother’s death…and wish you all a loving farewell to her in the days ahead. Elsie’s legacy lies in the womb of her family… We’re certain that you will carry her with you always..
Warmest Regards, Mabel & Frank Higgins,
Sarnia, ON
