Obituary of HARRISON – Evelyn Meryl

January 11, 1919 – May 13, 2010 With a fond mix of sadness and love we announce the passing of Evelyn Meryl Harrison on Thursday, May 13, 2010, at the Foothills Country Hospice at the age of 91 years. She passed peacefully in the company of family and special friends. Meryl, or as she was affectionately known to family and friends, Nana or Babe, lived a full life in her own way and touched many with her love , loyalty and kindness. Meryl lived most of her life in Calgary, growing up with family in the Ramsay area and later moving to Rideau Park where she and her husband Bob spent their retirement together. After Bob’s passing Meryl moved to Royal Park where she lived for the last seven years. Most recently she was in the wonderful care of Foothills Country Hospice in Okotoks. Meryl is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dean and Trish of Okotoks; two grandchildren, Shelley (Elbert) Tiamzon of Okotoks, and Scott (Helene) of Calgary; and by one beloved great-grandson Maxim. Meryl was predeceased by her husband Bob Harrison in 1985, and by her sister and brother, Kathleen Mills and Ken Oates of Calgary. In her own words she lived a wonderful life, enriched by family, friends, love, laughter and couldn’t have asked for more. “We will miss you Babe.” Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Friday, May 21, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
