Obituary of GRANT – Anne Irene

October 11, 1929 – May 11, 2010 Anne passed away on the 11th day of May, 2010 at Calgary in her 80th year. She was born in High Prairie, AB on the 11th day of October, 1929, the daughter of John and Justine Konelsky. Ann is survived by her husband of 48 years; Leonard, two daughters Carol Kounadis and Barbara Clow and son James Grant. She was predeceased by her son Kurt Grant who passed away on January 31, 2009. Anne was also predeceased by her brother Alex Konelsky and sisters Olga Travis, Stella Jacobsen and Helen Carlson. Anne was a graduate of Misericordia Hospital School of Nursing, in Edmonton, AB, Class of 1951. She spent most of her long career in nursing working at various hospitals in the Province of Alberta as she and her children followed her husband in pursuit of his R.C.M.P. duties, which included; Bow Island, Athabasca, Smoky Lake, Innisfail, Cardston and finally Calgary.
