Obituary of CHUCKRY – Alexander Lloyd

April 6, 1926 – May 11, 2010 It is with great sadness that our loving husband, father, grandfather and brother Alexander Lloyd Chuckry, lost his courageous battle with cancer on May 11th, 2010 at the Sarcee Hospice surrounded by his loving family. Al was a well-respected member of the Seismic Industry and began his career in 1954 with Nance Geophysical after many years in the field. In the late seventies Al became a founding partner of Petroseis Energy Surveys, where he worked until 1989. Upon leaving Petroseis, he became a founding partner with Request Seismic Surveys until he retired in 1991. Al dedicated himself endlessly to his family and enjoyed his winter home in Phoenix where he was able to indulge his true passion, golf. He also enjoyed many trips to the West Coast to fish with his family and friends. The greatest joy for Al was his family and his grandchildren in his later years and always looked forward to his Wednesday golf games with his good friends. Al was predeceased by his daughter Kelly Joanne and leaves behind his wife of 54 years Beatrice Chuckry; his 4 Children, Todd (Suzanne) Chuckry of Calgary, Darren Chuckry of Los Angeles, Lee Chuckry of Strathmore and Terri-Kim (Robert) Mason of San Diego; and 7 Grand Children; Chad Chuckry, Scott, Christopher & Ashley Chuckry of Calgary, Dylan & Paige Chuckry of Strathmore and Parise Mason of San Diego.
