Obituary of SNYDER – Blaine Leonard

May 7, 1926 – May 6, 2010 Bill passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Thursday, May 6, 2010 at the age of 83 years. He was a native Albertan growing up in Kathryn, Alberta, where he worked on the family farm until he met his wife, Doreen, and moved to Calgary. In 1954 he started work for Otis Elevator Company where he stayed until his retirement in 1990. He will be greatly missed for his kind and generous ways with his family and his many friends. Bill is lovingly remembered and will be missed by his daughter, Judith D Munro; his sons, Lawrence L Snyder, Russell N Snyder, and Cameron D Snyder; his grandchildren, Blaine and wife Janelle, Ethan Munro, Zachary and Erica Snyder; his daughter-in-law, Charisma Snyder; son-in-law Don Munro; and his sister Irene Wright. Bill was predeceased by his wife, Doreen B Snyder; son Kevin B Snyder; brothers Glenn, Alden and sister Harriet. A Celebration of Bill’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Thursday, May 13, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
