Obituary of HEATLEY – Joan Monica

February 21, 1935 – May 5, 2010 Joan “Joanie” Monica Heatley beloved wife of Ken of Calgary, passed away with her faithful husband at her side, on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at the age of 75 years. Joanie was born in Barbados and came to Canada in 1955. She met and married Ken in 1957 and raised a family of four daughters, “The Heatley Girls”. “Joanie loved family gatherings and preparing for them as well doing crafts and baking. Joanie was one of those people you met for a reason. Joanie is survived by her beloved husband Ken; daughters, Debbie, Teresa, Denise and Shelli, their spouses; and by her grandchildren, Cody, Brenna, Nicole, Zachary, John, Maegan and Allyson, who were all the light of her life. She is also survived by her sister Leila (Norman) Goddard, and her brother Lester Lampitt, as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
