Obituary of BURBANK – Matilda Tillie

June 23, 1919– May 4, 2010 Tillie passed away peacefully at the Signal Pointe Care Centre on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at the age of 90 years. Tillie was the youngest of her family, born in Walsh, Alberta on June 23, 1919. She married Bus in 1938. They moved to Calgary and built their first house in 1953, where they raised a family of five children. Tillie loved her flower gardens and rarely missed a Saturday dance at 276 Legion. Tillie is survived by three sons, Lee (Amy), Rick (Sharon) and Randy (Bonnie); and son-in-law Dennis; nine grandkids, Sherry ,Darren, Michelle, Troy, Dan, Ed, Lisa, Debbie, and Carly; as well as numerous great grandkids. She was predeceased by her husband Marquis Lester (Bus); daughters, Muriel and Dreanna (Frank); grandson George; and five brothers and two sisters. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
