Obituary of POWDER – Fred
With his family by his side, Fred Powder passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, May 2, 2010.
Fred will be missed by his loving wife of 47 years Beatrice; his children Bruce (Cheila), Freddie (Andrea), Tom (Melinda), Wendy, Eva, Donna (Brian). He raised five grandchildren whom he greatly cherished and loved, TJ (Cub), Natoshia, Christa, Saralyn and Braeden. Fred had thirty grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, His adopted children, Jayena (Wayde), Jayme (Lori), Dalas (Lisa), Randy, and Gerald (Velma); his brothers, Johnston, Gerald (Jennie); his sisters Mabel and Marlene; sister-in-law Catherine Powderface and family; very special cousin Joe Poucette; adopted grandchildren Dallas Poucette, Jocilyn, Lisa, Rachel and Frank Jr.; his uncle Murray Hunter and family; his aunties Eliza Holloway and family, Alice (Arthur) TYM and family, Winnie Frances and family, Alice Weaselchild and family, Eva Labelle and family; mother-in-law Beatrice Poucette and family and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins from Morley Eden Valley and Siksika.
Fred was predeceased by his parents Isaiah and Lucille Powderface; his brothers, Richard, Isaiah and Terrance; his sister Joan Cecil; father-in-law Douglas Poucette; grandsons Baby E. Powder and Terrance (Krokus); granddaughters Mariah Powder and Alma; twin grandchildren Bruce Jr. and Lena; nephew Everette, Eugene and Duane.
We apologize if we have missed anyone, as Fred has such a large loving family.
A special thanks to Dr. Feddema, Dr. Irvin and all the doctors and nurses in Canmore, Banff and Sundre hospitals, homecare nurses of the Stoney Health Centre.
Wake Services will be held at the residence of the late Fred Powder (Rabbit Lake, AB) on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 and Thursday, May 6, 2010.
Funeral Services will be held at Morley Gymnasium (Morley, AB) on Friday, May 7, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Chiniki Cemetery (Morley, AB). Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
