Obituary of YEE – Juanita Wai Wah

July 7, 1935 – May 1, 2010 Juanita Yee of Calgary passed away on Saturday May 1, 2010 at the age of 74 years, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Kwangtung, China, she immigrated to Canada in 1958. Juanita excelled at her career as a hairstylist for a number of years before shifting her focus on operating the family-owned Chinese food restaurant. Over the years, she took great pleasure in caring for her grandchildren and spending time with friends. Juanita is survived by her loving mother Ngar Ying Soohoo; her four children: Gail (Barney) Woo, Judi (Tom) Leong, Sandi (Peter) Seto, and Kevin; and eight grandchildren: Cara, Aaron, Janine; Jordan, Victoria; Isaac, Davis and Evan. She is also survived by her brother Roy (Jane) Soohoo, and niece Tiffany. She was predeceased by her father, Dok Yun Soohoo and her sister, Fee Hun Carol Soohoo. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Friday, May 7, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
