Obituary of OZEROFF – Joyce

November 28, 1935 – April 28, 2010 It is with heavy hearts and much sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother Joyce Ozeroff. She passed away peacefully at the age of 74 in Calgary, AB with her family by her side after a short illness. Joyce will always be lovingly remembered by her husband Peter of 56 years, son Dean and wife Kelly, granddaughters Marci, Rebecca and Allison; niece Louise Brownlee (Bruce) of Dryden, ON and family; nephews David Allan and Levi Thompson; sisters and brothers in law Gertie and Don Anwieler and family of Saskatchewan and George and Lil Ozeroff and family of Winlaw, B.C. Joyce was predeceased by son Lorne in 1994; parents Phoebe and Iotis Thompson; step father Sid Sears and brothers Myron and Roy Thompson. Joyce and Peter lived most of their lives in Saskatoon where Joyce worked as an Administrative Assistant for various companies. The last twenty years of her career were at The Western Producer. They moved many times across the Prairie Provinces even ending up in British Columbia for a while. The first ten of their retirement years, they enjoyed travelling across Canada and the U.S. in their motor home and then made their final move to Calgary to be near their son and his family. Joyce will be greatly missed by the many friends in Saskatchewan and B.C. she leaves behind to grieve whom she touched in many ways. The family of Joyce Ozeroff would like to take this opportunity to send their heartfelt thanks to all of the tremendous care given by Kris, Lana and Gillian and all of the staff of Palliative Home Care. Words will never express how we feel for the phenomenal staff at Carewest Sarcee Hospice. You are angels without wings. How you made Mom’s final weeks as comfortable for her as possible was remarkable. For all of your endless time spent consoling, the hugs just at the right time or just being there for all of us not just Mom – you are all truly amazing and extraordinary. A private service will be only in family as cremation will take place on Joyce’s wishes. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
