Obituary of JAMES – Ken

October 1, 1939 – April 23, 2010 With deep sadness the family announces the peaceful passing of Ken James, beloved husband of Eleanor and loving father of Lynette, on Friday April 23, 2010 at the age of 70 years. Ken was born October 1, 1939 in Calgary to parents Alice and Douglas “Dux” James. He was a proud Calgarian, who was an entrepreneur before twenty five years of distinguished service with Associated Taxi. Ken will be remembered for his generous spirit, always welcoming friends and family to his home. He was dedicated to helping others through times of need and took enjoyment in their home, their garden, time spent at Wasa Lake and pursuing his southern Alberta roots and family heritage. Ken is survived by his wife Eleanor, children: Lynette James, Todd Allison (Karen), Lisa Kingston (Tony), his grandson Griffin Kingston, his sister Audrey Petrie (Al), and numerous, nephews, nieces, cousins as well as lifelong friends. A celebration of Ken’s life will be held at Southern Alberta Pioneers Memorial Building (3625 – 4 Street S.W.) on Thursday, April 29, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
