I am so very sad to hear of Kim’s passing. He was such a big part of my life growing up. There are so many great memories of him – I especially remember that to me, he was a GIANT. Of course, I was only 3 feet tall. He had great big hands and a great big laugh, but most of all he had a GREAT BIG heart.
On behalf of myself and my best bud Ron Belding, who passed last year,(who shared many a Stampede BBQ with you and he), I can only offer our mutual feelings of sympathy for Yaz’s passing. Both Ron and I understood Yaz and that is why we were friends.
I do not have the words to express anything that could ease your emotional pain, but I hope you know that we loved him as much as anyone could ever love a friend because of who he was.
It has been 23 years since I left Calgary, but I will always remember Kim for his heartfelt laugh. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I am so so sorry for your loss.
I remember the first time we met right up to the last time we spoke to each other. What lies between those moments are 37 years of great friendship. We were pioneers in the sport of ball hockey and playing air guitar/drums. No one could ever weave a story like you my friend. To all the good times we had, for ever in my mind… your life-long friend.
It is with our deepest sympathy upon learning of Kims passing. The world will be a smaller place without Kim but rejoyce in all of the great memories he shared with all of us. I will remember your son as a true friend, full of life, funny, caring, and Gifted – with a profound sence of humour. Our hearts go out to you in this time of sadness!
It is with great sadness that we learn of the passing of Kim. It is definately the “young and determined” ZAZ that we remember well. Memories of times shared with him at Systems and then at The Banke flood back in like it was just yesterday. We look forward to seeing you all at the gathering to celebrate his life. He was a great soul!
